The hook
Product-market fit is not a feeling. It is a measurable retention and pull signal inside one named segment.
Intent · Choose a beachhead segment with evidence, define the fit instrumentation, and know exactly which number tells you fit is real.
Take this if
Six signals you are leaking this value
01
Your ICP is a job title and a company size
02
Every deal is a custom build
03
Retention curve never flattens
04
Sales cycle length varies 4x deal to deal
05
You cannot say who you are not for
06
Churn reasons are 'budget' and nothing else
About the course
Fit is segment-specific. A product with no fit across a market often has strong fit inside a 5% slice of it — and that slice funds the rest.
We score segments on frequency of pain, current spend, reachability, switching friction and expansion headroom, then instrument the fit signal properly: cohort retention, Sean Ellis score, organic pull, and reference velocity.
2026 additions: AI-assisted segment discovery from CRM and support data, synthetic-interview pitfalls, and how to read fit signals when buyers evaluate through AI agents rather than demos.
